Are Patient and Family Centred Care and Engagement Just Passing Fads? – Members Only

Posted on June 9, 2016 by Jean Eaton in PMN Replay

In this 30-minute Practice Management Nugget Webinar with Jessica Giesbrecht of HealthCareCAN/CHA Learning you will learn more about the opportunity for you to become a leader throughout and across the health system, and improve the care experience for patients and their caregivers and their loved ones.

Are Patient and Family Centred Care and Engagement Just Passing Fads?

Patient and family centred care (PFCC) refers to an approach to health care that strengthens the relationships between the patient and family and the healthcare providers. This is based on care that is compassionate, promotes dignity and respect, involves patients and families as partners in their own care.  PFCC builds collaborators in the health system, and enables information sharing. It applies to all parts of the continuum of care from primary care to acute care, community care and long term care. It also involves all members of the healthcare team – from governors and senior leads to front line clinicians and support services.

Jessica Giesbrecht is the Director, Quality, Performance & Evaluation at HealthCareCAN/CHA Learning and is excited to share with you a new opportunity for you to learn more about patient and family centred care.

If you are one of the healthcare professionals, practice managers, or healthcare team members, who wants to know how to  improve the care experience for patients and their caregivers and their loved ones then jump onboard with this amazing and insightful interview with expert Jessica Giesbrecht where we'll help you to take your patient and family centred care results to the next level.

"I had the pleasure of working alongside Jean to develop a PIA for my Dental Office. I could not have completed this document without her. She was there to help me every step of the way. Her online course made it easy to communicate with her as well as having so many resources to use that were so helpful. Each Module had videos to watch that explained step by step what needed to be done. The PIA document is a lot of information to put together and if it's not enough information on its own, you also need to develop a policy and procedures manual. Jean has developed an amazing resource for this manual that was very user friendly and made a 300 page manual a lot more attainable than creating it on your own. I highly recommend taking Jean's PIA course and having her help throughout the process!"
