Leasing Do's and Dont's for Your Healthcare Practice
What is your the trigger date for your commercial lease renewal?
One of the most important things I learned today with our interview with Jeff Grandfield – give yourself enough time to find the best location at the best deal for your commercial lease.
What is your #1 Tip when negotiating (re-negotiating) your commercial lease?
Give yourself enough lead time to negotiate your lease – at least 6 months for new locations and 9-12 months for lease renewal. Renewal option clause often requires you to notify the landlord 6 months before the lease expires of your intention to renew your lease.
Key terms that you need to know:
Tenant improvement allowance
Deferred rent or rent-free months
Deposits and personal guarantees
Parking and signage
